Menasha Corporation Awarded Prestigious LEED Gold Certification

NEENAH, WI… Menasha Corporation announced today that its new headquarters building in Neenah, Wis., has been awarded the LEED Gold® certification. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the foremost program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance. There are four levels of LEED certification: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Menasha Corporation’s 102,000-square-foot facility, which also houses the corporate office of its subsidiary, Menasha Packaging Company, achieved LEED certification for implementing practical and measureable strategies and solutions aimed at achieving high performance in: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. The new building features include reclaimed wood, daylighting clerestories, 10-foot windows, and water-efficient landscaping. “Menasha Corporation’s LEED certification demonstrates tremendous green building leadership,” said Rick Fedrizzi, CEO and founding chair, USGBC. “The urgency of USGBC’s mission has challenged the industry to move faster and reach further than ever before, and Menasha Corporation serves as a prime example of just how much we can accomplish.” About Menasha Corporation Menasha Corporation is a leading corrugated and plastic packaging manufacturer and supply chain solutions provider specializing in retail merchandising packaging and displays, plastic reusable containers and pallets, protective packaging interiors, and packaging supply chain and fulfillment services.
