Menasha Corporation announces plans to construct a new office building that will house both its companywide headquarters and Menasha Packaging Company’s corporate office. The new building will be constructed on the site of the company’s current headquarters at 1645 Bergstrom Road in Neenah, Wis.
Company growth over the last five years and the increasing demands for a more collaborative work environment drove the decision to build. The new building will provide improved collaboration space for employees, customers and suppliers, and will replace the existing 50-year-old building with a more contemporary office structure.
Demolition of the existing building is tentatively scheduled to begin in April 2015. During the construction project, employees housed in the current building will be relocated to other Menasha Corporation facilities or to temporary leased office space in the Fox Valley. The new building is expected to be ready for occupancy in the fall of 2016.
“We evaluated a number of options when addressing our future office space needs. Having been a part of the greater Fox Cities community for 166 years, we are excited that we are able to remain in the same location and continue contributing to a vibrant community with great employees,” said Jim Kotek, president and CEO of Menasha Corporation.
Neenah Mayor Dean Kaufert noted, “Menasha Corporation’s commitment to build its new headquarters in Neenah is welcome news to our City. Our ability to assist with the project will solidify Menasha Corporation’s presence in Neenah for generations down the road, and will enhance the community, the company and its employees.”
Menasha Corporation’s existing corporate headquarters, which shares space with its subsidiary Menasha Packaging Company, was built in Neenah in 1967 following a fire in 1964 at its previous location in Menasha, Wis. The current building is attached to a corrugated manufacturing and fabrication facility which will not be impacted by the construction of the new office building.
“We are excited about the benefits and improvements our new building will provide in terms of improved work flow, providing an environment of increased collaboration across the business,” said Mike Waite, president of Menasha Packaging Company.
